About Me

Dr. Gugger is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Rochester. He specializes in the treatment of epilepsy in adults with expertise in antiseizure medication management as well as surgical management of drug-resistant epilepsy.

Dr. Gugger is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Rochester. He specializes in the treatment of epilepsy in adults with expertise in antiseizure medication management as well as surgical management of drug-resistant epilepsy.

Prior to medical training, Dr. Gugger earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and went on to a clinical faculty position at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy. He attended medical school at SUNY Downstate, completed his Neurology training at Johns Hopkins and Epilepsy training at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his appointment at the University of Rochester he was Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
