Dr. Kim is a board-certified surgeon specializing in treating breast disease and cancer. He completed his breast surgical oncology fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai West/Chelsea and general surgery residency at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Dr. Kim holds an M.D. from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

In his treatment of malignant and benign diseases of the breast, Dr. Kim works with his patients to gain a holistic perspective of their physical needs and social circumstances and goals. Issues of fertility, menopause, coinciding medical conditions, psychosocial concerns, and other aspects of one’s life and wellbeing are all integral to the discussion. Dr. Kim’s goal is to make patients feel seen and respected—to treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Dr. Kim chose to become a breast surgical oncologist because of the people he has an opportunity to serve and work with. He is inspired by his patients who courageously face a diagnosis and persevere through treatment, and who will likely always hold the experience of cancer in their memory as they try to live on. Dr. Kim finds it meaningful to thoughtfully and judiciously guide patients through this trying time in their lives by collaborating with other doctors in a multidisciplinary team. Throughout his career, his relationships with patients and colleagues have been the best part of he does.
