Betsy Naumburg, MD, returned to the Family Medicine Program in 1986 after an unsuccessful attempt to escape its powerful magnetism. She attended the Mt. Her interests at Family Medicine include the medically underserved, the impact of race, class, and gender on health, health care and medical education and the integration and balance of professional and personal life. Visit went well. Dr Naumburg let me know at the beginning of the appointment that she had less time to spend with me because of how busy she became.

[...] She immediately gives off an intimidating energy, and while she is clearly a competent when it comes to the practice of medicine she is not a desirable clinician [...]

Dr. Naumburg is one of the most caring, thorough and competent doctors I've ever worked with (and I've worked with many). She listens to me, orders appropriate tests when needed, follows up and NEVER gives up with my many symptoms until she has a definitive Dx and sees improvement. She never jumps to use high-powered drugs, but starts treatment with lower strengths, increasing only if necessary to bring symptoms under control.

Not good @ all. This visit when I asked about a concern I had. It was "medical." She asked me if I had recently seen a therapist! No kidding in their part. Didn't answer question. I am still angry.

Dr. Naumburg is a very caring Dr. I have not had a Dr. like her ever. I will truly miss her if she leaves, and I might not stay a patient there if that happens.

I have a very complicated medical history and Dr. Naumburg ALWAYS listens to my concerns and answers questions fully. For this visit, I sent a list of them to her through MyChart so she knew in advance what my concerns & questions were, in order to save her some time. Despite the long list of concerns, Dr. Naumburg took the time to fully address every single concern. I have every confidence in her.

Visits can be inconsistent. At times I feel she Is more open to discussions w/ me about suggestions I have about tests, blood work.. I have health problems I still don't understand why. I'd like to talk more clinically. Other visits are very good. She is open, supportive, willing to work w/ me. I don't want to have to feel her out.
