Dr. Benesch completed his Neurology Residency and Fellowship Training in Experimental Therapeutics in Cerebrovascular Disease at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology and has been the Director of the URMC Stroke Center...
Dr. Benesch completed his Neurology Residency and Fellowship Training in Experimental Therapeutics in Cerebrovascular Disease at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology and has been the Director of the URMC Stroke Center since its inception in 1996. He is also the Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program. His research interests include acute stroke treatment, secondary stroke prevention, development of community-wide approaches to stroke care, and cost-effectiveness of stroke treatment.

The purpose of this research study is to see whether ticagrelor and aspirin or rivaroxaban and aspirin compared to clopidogrel and aspirin may have the most success in preventing another stroke, bleed in the brain, or death in participants who have already had a stroke from a narrowed brain artery. This research is important to future patients, as this knowledge may help doctors do a better job of preventing stroke in patients with major narrowing of brain arteries. You must be at lease 30 years of age and have had a stroke in the past.

The doctor is a stroke specialist, I have seen a good number of physicians, he's fine. I have to travel about 200 miles to see him it is worth it. He knows his practice very well.
