Dr. Ben Wandtke serves as Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at FF Thompson Hospital where he practices as a general radiologist. His funded research focuses on health system quality improvement, most notably the development of recommendation tracking systems that assures patients with incidental findings receive appropriate follow-up care, eliminating delays in diagnosis of cancer. He is a physician lead for the American College of Radiology’s Learning Network, a national quality improvement collaborative.

Dr. Wandtke is active in radiology and health system leadership, currently serving as the Vice Chair of the American College of Radiology’s Quality and Safety Commission. He has served on the Boards of the FF Thompson Health System and University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Wandtke is the director of the UR Medicine CT Lung Screening Program.

Dr. Wandtke is certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He completed a Fellowship in MRI Imaging and a master's degree in medical management at the University of Rochester. He is a Professor of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
