About Me

Dr. Jakobi graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, where she received both a BA and an MA in psychology. She completed her MD degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where she also completed a residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Jakobi did her psychiatry residency at...
Dr. Jakobi graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, where she received both a BA and an MA in psychology. She completed her MD degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where she also completed a residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Jakobi did her psychiatry residency at West Virginia University, where she also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She was awarded the Child and Adolescent Service System Program Award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as the Mary Lou Meyers MD Award for outstanding medical student teaching at the University of Rochester. Dr. Jakobi is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, and is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also trained in Medical Acupuncture. She is currently the Director of the Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation/Liaison Program at the Golisano Children's Hospital.
