Dr. Weisbrod is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has been with the Highland Hospital Department of Family Medicine since 1997. He has been with Webster Family Medicine since 2000. Before coming to Rochester, Dr. Weisbrod worked for the Cigna Health Plan of Arizona for thirteen years, where he learned an approach to patient-care that combines effective use of team members, communication abilities and coordinated care.
Dr. Wiesbrod received his M.D. from the University of Toronto in 1981, and in 1983, he completed Family Practice Residency from Dalhousie University Medicine Program.
He is the father of two teenage sons, and in his free time enjoys the care and maintenance of marine and freshwater aquariums, reading, woodworking and gardening.

Dr Weisbrod provides exceptional care. I messaged Dr Ryan around 7:30am on [...] requesting he prescribe an antibiotic for an infected left foot. Shortly after, the office called and asked me to arrive there at 10:40am to visit with the doctor. Dr. Ryan was off on Friday and Dr. Weisbrod kindly Intervened on his behalf to treat my Infected left foot. He prescribed two antibiotics.

I called on a Fri. Morning with concern that I might have another blood clot in my leg. Dr. Weisbrod got me in at 1oclock and ordered a STAT ultrasound that day. U of R was unable to schedule one, so Dr. Weisbrod went to Rochester Regional and got me an appointment at RGH at 3:30 that afternoon. I was so impressed! Fortunately, it turned out to just be a Baker's Cyst and not a blood clot! So relieved!

I had my yearly physical with my PC physician. Dr. Weisbrod was very pleasant and took time to answer any questions and concerns of mine. We covered all the specialists that I am seeing and any appointments that I have going forward. It was a comprehensive physical including an EKG, current medications and vaccine status.

Dr. Weisbrod is an excellent Primary Care Physician. Last year, during my annual physical exam with Dr. Weisbrod, he noticed a heart murmur and sent me for an echo-cardiogram. This result led to an aorta replacement surgery this Spring. Thanks to Dr. Weisbrod, I am now in much better physical health.

I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Weisbrod and his team. Everyone of them is terrific from the time I arrive at the practice to the time I leave. No one ever really wants to go to a medical office, however, for me the experience is always comfortable and very friendly. Dr. Weisbrod is always engaged with all my thoughts, concerns, compassionate and is extremely thorough with terrific follow-up when needed. I can't imagine working with anyone else as my PCP. I also would like to mention how wonderful his nurse Diana is. Love them both, they are a terrific team.
