Dr. Sarnoski-Roberts graduated Phi Beta Kappa from SUNY – Binghamton with a BA in Chemistry in 1979. She graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University with her MD in 1983. Dr. Sarnoski-Roberts graduated Phi Beta Kappa from SUNY – Binghamton with a BA in Chemistry in 1979. She graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University with her MD in 1983. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rochester General Hospital and is board certified in Internal Medicine. She had a primary care practice for 3 years and then had worked in the Emergency Department at Rochester General Hospital for 16 years. Since 2005 she has worked in the ED Observation Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital and became the Medical Director of the ED Observation Unit in 2010. Dr. Sarnoski-Roberts noted that many patients presenting to the ED had the same chronic diseases and she began to study Lifestyle Medicine. She took the American College of Lifestyle Medicine boards the first year that they were offered (2017). In November, 2022, she retired her full time position as director of the ED Observation Unit to be able to devote her energies to helping patients achieve their healthiest lives through the pillars of Lifestyle Medicine.
