Isaac Y. Wu, MD, FASE is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and Chief of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology. Dr. Wu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and National Board of Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocard...
Isaac Y. Wu, MD, FASE is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and Chief of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology. Dr. Wu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and National Board of Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Wu obtained his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his Anesthesiology residency and Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Before joining URMC, Dr. Wu was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Columbia University, where he also served as Director of Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. He has been an invited speaker and workshop leader at national and international meetings, including the Annual Meetings of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA), American Society of Anesthesiologists, and Japanese Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists. Dr. Wu has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals including, JACC Cardiovascular Imaging, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, and Anesthesiology.

Dr. Wu's research interests include perioperative echocardiography and right ventricular function. He was awarded a research grant by the SCA to investigate the impact of transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral valve on right ventricular function.
