Philosophy
Dr. Kroening’s approach when seeing patients is to truly maximize the time spent during each visit. He feels it is most important to focus on what the patient wants and needs out of medicine and life, as well as why they have chosen their current lifestyle. It is then that he can truly empower his patients to take ownership of their medical care. Special Interests Dr. Kroening has special interests in patients with heart issues.
On a Personal Note
Dr. Kroening enjoys spending time with his family and reading stories to his kids. He has also been learning about poultry, with a new backyard chicken flock.

I expressed concerns about a neck injury that I thought could be related to the parotid surgery performed 10 years ago. Even though there weren't any overt signs of concern or distress, I was able to get an appointment with the ENT surgeon who performed the surgery to put my mind at ease. I was also able to discuss my levels of positive and negative stress and aging related maladies of varying degrees without judgment.

Even though we can't directly discuss their respective medical issues, it is helpful to have someone who has a thorough understanding of family medical history and dynamics. Although I never really feel stressed in the doctor's office, this was the first visit in a time where my blood pressure reading was normal on the first reading in the office. Last year Dr. Kroening prescribed a statin to address my high cholesterol. I'll admit, I am not much of a "pill taker." But I took his advice. This year's checkup revealed a 25% reduction in my cholesterol level (with no side effects), as indicated on the blood test results.

Any provider I have spoken to at this office has always made me feel heard and understood. Discussing meds is confusing for me because I haven't taken any regularly before now and both visits/calls I've had to discuss have been thorough and thoughtful.

Dr. Kroening is a compassionate and empathetic doctor. He respectfully listens and takes his time explaining everything in a clear and concise manner. Unlike other doctors, Dr. K truly gets to know his patients. There is never an air of arrogance or inflated self worth, like other doctors. My husband and I both agree that Dr. K is amazing!!! We recommend him right away when our family and friends are looking for a new doctor.
