Dr. Anthony Dell'Anno is a native of Rochester, New York, and part of the Flaum Eye Institute's Well Eye Care team. He currently sees patients at the Eye Institute's main campus, College Town and Brighton locations. He is a graduate of Canisius College and received his Doctorate of Optometry from New England College of Optometry. He has more than five years of clinical experience in eye care, working in private practices where treated children and adults and managed pre- and post-operative LASIK patients.

As a member of the Well Eye Care team, he routinely screens for and treats common vision conditions. These may include refractive error, dry eye, glaucoma, corneal issues and diabetic eye disease. Based on the level of a patient's problem, he may refer to a general ophthalmologist or subspecialty ophthalmologist for surgery or complex medical treatments. Dr. Dell'Anno also co-manages cataracts with his ophthalmologist team and routinely performs many of the pre- and post-operative steps in the treatment process.

I feel Dr. Dell'Anno is a very good and knowledgeable doctor, I just don't feel he's a good match for me. This was my second appointment with him and he seemed rushed both times. Also, if I didn't ask questions, he didn't provide information beyond the scope of the exam. Once I did ask questions, though, he did provide me with sufficient answers.

I had to send a message to the provider about the prescription. Between my insurance and pharmacy and provider I was able to get a prescription I needed now that is great work. We need a great team

Provider seemed hurried and rushed through his part of the exam. He came in the room asking if I wanted glasses. I was not sure what the initial eye exam showed or why he would ask before actually looking at my eyes.

I'm pleased to find a good professional in the Strong system- just makes record keeping and prescriptions that much easier. Dr. Dell'Anno is probably only the third doctor I've seen at Flaum in ten years, and 1 was for surgery to correct a retinal tear.

This is the first time I saw this doctor, as my previous one has left the system. He didn't introduce himself. On my post-visit My Chart it indicates that he discussed several conditions with me, such as developing cataracts, but I don't believe he did.

I wear contacts and he wasn't aware I got my last contacts there. He said he wouldn't update the prescription/do fitting in the appointment. We actually went back and forth a bit. Finally he went out of the room and came back with the info about my contacts. I'm not sure why this wasn't in the chart. I'm not used to this provider. My previous provider retired and I guess I'm just use to his style and attention to detail/thoroughness of care.
