“My surgical philosophy is to provide the best care and most comfortable experience to each individual, no matter the size of the problem. From a small skin lesion to a complex facial trauma, every issue is important and deserving of excellent results and aesthetic outcomes.”

Areas of Expertise:

• Cleft lip and palate surgery
• Complex wounds in children
• Craniofacial surgery
• Ear reconstruction
• Facial trauma
• Orthognathic surgery
• Pediatric/adolescent breast surgery
• Pediatric plastic surgery
• Scar revisions
• Skin lesions
• Vascular anomalies

For me, plastic surgery is the perfect combination of art and science. It gives me the opportunity to use my skills to help people while being creative and approaching each problem uniquely to meet specific patient needs. Pediatric and craniofacial plastic surgery allow me to form long-term relationships with patients and their families, which is incredibly rewarding.

I am a Western New York local. I grew up in the Buffalo area and attended college at the University of Rochester. I graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and completed my integrated plastic surgery residency training here at the University of Rochester. Following this, I went to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for additional fellowship training in pediatric and craniofacial plastic surgery. My practice consists of cleft and craniofacial surgery, general pediatric plastic surgery, as well as adult craniofacial surgery. As the only female pediatric plastic surgeon in the Western New York/Finger Lakes region, I have a busy adolescent breast surgery practice for young patients who may prefer a female doctor.

My personal goal is to make surgery a comfortable and positive experience for my patients. My goal for the Division of Plastic Surgery is to be comprehensive in our surgical offerings so no patients have to be referred elsewhere for care.

The [...] team did an excellent job of discussing immediate concerns and options for our daughter In the coming year, as well as anticipated procedures In the next 5-10 years. We left feeling reassured because we know what to expect and what we need to prepare for.
