Dr. Danielle Marino is an Associate Professor of Medicine at URMC and is the Medical Director of the Wilmot Cancer Institute Hereditary Cancer Screening and Risk Reduction Program and a faculty member in the Division of Clinical Genetics. Dr. Marino received her medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her internal medicine residency at Yale University School of Medicine, and her Gastroenterology fellowship here at the University of Rochester. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Marino has clinical expertise in all aspects of general gastroenterology and liver disease. She has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening and prevention, and the diagnosis and management of hereditary cancer syndromes. Her research interest is in Quality Improvement. Dr. Marino is passionate about patient education, always striving to ensure that her patients are informed and engaged in their medical care. She is also passionate about medical education and is the Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program, as well as the faculty advisor for medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the Division.
