Dr. Thomashefski values building long-term and individualized relationships with patients of all ages and experiences. He believes his role as a family physician is to work collaboratively with his patients to help guide them with health and wellness choices.
Dr. Thomashefski has special interests in general family medicine, preventive medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health and wellness, sports medicine and addiction prevention/recovery.

I feel that Dr Matthew Thomashefski is the best doctor I have ever had as a primary care. He is caring... He listens....he is very clear in his explanations to any questions I have. I higgly recommend Dr Thomashefski and the entire organization at the LeRoy office to ANYONE looking for a primary care Doctor.... To me there really is none that I have ever had before who is better... And I am 71 years old... So I have seen several primary care doctors over the years.

I had been ignored at 2 ERs the week before seeing Dr. Thomashefski. He was the ONLY doctor that listened to me and was the most caring and compassionate. I've been scared about my condition and he keeps assuring me that he is there for me. I know I am not his only patient, yet he makes me feel like it with how much he has helped me. And he is quite the humble gentleman. I am so very grateful to him.

I am very pleased with the care and attention I get from this doctor. He works closely with me to optimize tests, medications, etc. He is very familiar with my specifics, and even shows interest in my family/work situations. I would be at a major loss if he was not able to remain my doctor.

Dr Thomashefski is a young doctor with old school care, compassion and wisdom. Takes his time to listen. He's concerned with overall health of patient not just issue of the day. Listens to child (teen patient) and parent's observations. We could drive to a closer doctor's office but will continue to go out of our area to see Dr. Thomashefski. He will be terrific as my son grows into adulthood. Incredibly pleased with his treatment over the years! And Dr. T. Has The coolest socks in the industry:) Keeps everyone smiling;)
