Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she was a clinical research coordinator in Pediatric Cardiology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Electrophysiology at Columbia University and later at SUNY Stony Brook University. After working in clinical research, she desired to step aside from the bench and join the bedside by obtaining a degree in nursing at the University of Rochester. She spent several years as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Neurosurgery, the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and within the COVID Intensive Care Unit while obtaining an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Rochester. She joins the Complex Care Center after three years as a Nurse Practitioner within Movement Disorders Neurology with a desire to serve adult patients with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Jacek seeks to provide comprehensive patient and family centered care with compassion. Jacek's professional interests include care of older adults, neurologic disorders, polypharmacy prevention, and process improvement.
