About Me

Emily Walsh, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Child Neurology and Epilepsy at the University of Rochester. Her clinical interests are both in pediatric epilepsy and general child neurology.

Emily Walsh, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Child Neurology and Epilepsy at the University of Rochester. Her clinical interests are both in pediatric epilepsy and general child neurology.

Dr. Walsh completed her undergraduate studies at Brandeis University and medical school at Vanderbilt University. She then completed Child Neurology residency at the University of Rochester, followed by Pediatric Epilepsy fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Walsh is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology, and also board certified in Epilepsy. She is an active member of the Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.

Dr. Walsh helped to develop the University of Rochester Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic which aims to provide comprehensive and multi-system care for individuals with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). She has a particular interest in managing complex epilepsy related to TSC and other genetic conditions.
