Samantha is the Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at UR Medicine, which began in 2023. She currently serves as a preceptor for the PGY1 Community Pharmacy residents at URMC and the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residents from both URMC and Highland Hospital. Additionally, Samantha is an adjunct faculty member for the St. John Fisher University Wegmans School of Pharmacy and Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where she serves as a preceptor for both IPPE and APPE students. She is also an active member of ACCP (Ambulatory Care PRN Research Process Committee), Vizient (Ambulatory Pharmacy Development Committee), and the UR Medicine Pharmacy Research Committee.
Dr. Heacock's professional interests include chronic disease management, development and expansion of ambulatory pharmacy services and workflows, clinical research, and serving as a professional mentor for residents.
