Dr. Ellis is kind and generally good, but it felt like she was rushing, and instead of setting up a plan with my input, she just said this is what we are going to do, and then she left the room. I had further concerns that I wanted to chat with her about, and I didn't realize that we were even done.

I feel heard and seen. I mentioned my breathing and needing to take an extra breath sometimes. I shared it was spiradic. She put a note in my record and we'll monitor it. She also suggested I start working out, make sure to rest and drink water. She makes note of things snd doesn't ignore or minimize what I'm saying. She pays attention as well and notices the moles on my legs to make sure there arent new ones. Im very satisfied

This was my first visit with this provider. I found her to be very kind, knowledgeable, a good listener, and informative. I had a couple bad experiences with another provider I saw briefly after my long-time PCP retired, and was so grateful to this provider for being so willing to take time to address my concerns--- it was not what I had expected! Most doctors nowadays have appointments every 10 minutes, which is NOT nearly enough time for decent patient care!! This provider's care was above and beyond what I experienced a few months ago. I like her very much.

Dr. Ellis was the one person/doctor who actually listened to my concerns. Who caring and understanding/knowledge helped lead to my diagnosis of Cushing's disease. Without her, I'm afraid to think what could have happened without receiving the diagnosis and treatment. She is amazing.

After the visit, I was very pleased with the professionalism and competance of Dr. Josephine. Ellis. I am confident she is the right primary to take care of my health care needs. She was very pleasant and patient to explain all my test results and the importance of taking medications and its side effects. I would recomend her to all my friends and family.

Dr Ellis is great! She is dedicated to her patients her staff are the best. I used to have such bad anxiety about my health and Dr appt. I would be ashamed and not feel comfortable talking about my health issues. I would miss appts. Dr. Ellis has been a blessing and I am taking my meds regularly keeping appts and getting healthy and I owe a big part of that to her and her team!!!

[...]. I had a great relationship with Dr Ellis prior to her joining you URMC network. She was truly chosen by God and sent to me as I felt the need for having an personal doctor patient relationship. It has been the best experience ever. If I can say one thing about improvement I wish more doctors had her bedside manners and sense of being personal as well as being a great doctor. But also a great listener. We can all hear because we have ears but she actually listens and retains each conversation we've had in each visit as though it was just yesterday no matter how much time goes in between each visit that I have.

I feel my last couple of appointments have not really addressed my issues or included much assessment of the problem, such as asking questions or for more information. I mostly feel the appt is rushed and I either leave with a medication to solve the problem or a referral to someone else - not talking through things in a holistic way.

Everyone deserves kudos. As with many other places of employment in our current world, the office was going to be short staffed - particularly by nurses. What I really enjoyed and admired about the experience is how the entire staff adjusted and took care of what needed to get done. Instead of complaining about having to do extra work etc - the office supported those that needed to be out of work for the day. It easy to see how the entire office worked as a team and cared for one another.

Although this provider does listen to what I have to say about what's going on with me physically, I don't think she is proactive in keeping at it to discover what's wrong. I feel like I have to be my own advocate and keep pushing her to find out what's wrong. If she doesn't know, refer me to a specialist or someone that is willing to figure out what's wrong.

I always have high anxiety when going to the doctor, but once I'm in the office, the nurse and doctor always help calm me down. The nurse that assisted in this visit really was great. I think she saw my anxiety and got me to laugh a bit and that relaxed me.

I communicated with the doctor several times in the days before and didn't feel like I was heard. I know it's a busy time and have compassion and respect for all health care providers and I would hope for the same. I felt that I needed to be seen. Honestly I didn't feel like the provider cared.
