Dr. Shachi Shah is a native of Mumbai, India. She obtained her medical degree at Seth G. S. Medical College in Mumbai, India (Maharashtra University of Health Sciences). After that, she went to NYC for her pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center followed by a year of chief residency at ...
Dr. Shachi Shah is a native of Mumbai, India. She obtained her medical degree at Seth G. S. Medical College in Mumbai, India (Maharashtra University of Health Sciences). After that, she went to NYC for her pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center followed by a year of chief residency at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital. Her pediatric endocrinology fellowship was done at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, also in NYC. After finishing her fellowship she worked as a community pediatrician for 3 years at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY. Her professional interests are in optimizing the use of technology for type 1 diabetes, genetics of growth disorders, thyroid nodules in children, and primary ovarian insufficiency. She joined the University of Rochester in December 2021.
