Dr. Colby Day Richardson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Neonatology. She completed her pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She then worked as an Assistant Professor of Neonatology at the University of Florida Jacksonville from 2017-2021. Dr. Day’s area of academic focus is primarily quality improvement at the local, regional, and national level. She is highly involved in the Vermont Oxford Network and has worked with multiple state quality collaboratives. Dr. Day also has a special interest in the mentorship of neonatal fellows and early career neonatologists and has been a member of the Executive Council of the AAP’s Trainees and Early Career Neonatologists (TECaN) group since 2014. Dr. Day is serving as the Medical Director of the NICU Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship at the University of Rochester.
