Provider was somewhat taciturn and brusque, though not rude. A little more conversation would have been reassuring though I did get the information I needed.

In general, he doesn't seem to listen to the patient. He looks at the chart and notes from nurses, and takes his information from there instead of listening to anything that is coming from the actual patient.

I'm confident that the provider is very knowledgeable and informed me of what I needed to know. He was not very communicative. He answered direct questions as briefly as possible. Since this was a followup visit, all I really needed to know was that everything was ok, but a better conversation would have been nice. In his defense, the office was extremely busy. I'm sure there were patients who needed more attention than I did

Dr Al Othman asked Dr Khetan for a second opinion. When Dr Vikas Khetan entered the examining room, he never introduced himself. He was on the computer and didn't talk to me at all. He did look into my eyes. He did say "you can leave now". He was cold and rude.

While the procedure performed on me -- having a hypodermic needle shoved into my eyeball -- was not something I looked forward to, the entire experience was made more bearable by the attention paid, by the nurses and by the doctor in charge of the procedure.

I felt that the doctor was very level-headed and realistic, giving me a clear understanding of the treatments necessary, and the limitations I should place on my own expectations for an ultimate cure. For macular degeneration, as we all know, there currently is no remedy, only palliative treatment. It helps to know what to expect.
