Michael is an assistant professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Michael earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in biological sciences from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his M.D./Ph.D. training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, where he worked in Dr. Christopher Snyder’s laboratory studying CD8+ T cell responses to Cytomegalovirus. Michael completed his Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. During his fellowship, Michael worked in Dr. Ali Ellebedy’s laboratory studying T and B cell responses to SARS-CoV2 vaccination in patients living with HIV. Michael joined the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Department at URMC Golisano Children’s Hospital in 2023. His current interests include clinical medicine, education and clinical trials focused on viral infections and vaccines.
