About the Program
Program Structure
Months 1-12
Experiential learning, including core required rotations varying between 2 and 6 weeks, required longitudinal rotations and approximately 12-16 weeks of elective time based on the interest areas of the fellow. All of these rotations will provide specific goals and evaluation criteria as defined in the rotation descriptions. Project work will be assigned based on requirements of the rotations.
Months 1-18:
The Fellow will complete an independent research project including submission of a completed manuscript for peer review.
Months 12-18:
Assume role of inpatient operations manager for Strong Memorial Hospital as outlined in the Level 4 Pharmacy Manager position, reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations. This will be a continuation of leadership development skills as a manager in this role.
Months 2 -18:
Enrolled and completing course requirements for the Master of Science in Medical Management at Simon Business School. In addition, the Fellow will complete an independent research project including submission of a completed manuscript for peer review.

- One Saturday per month, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Tuesday evenings 5:40 – 9:00 pm
The Fellowship training will be completed at the end of this 18-month program.
Months 18-24:
Remain in the Level 4 Pharmacist Manager position as the Inpatient Operations Manager, developing plans for next steps in their career. These 6 months are not required to complete the Fellowship and are an opportunity to continue to develop experience while exploring leadership positions available.
