Spinal Cord and Brain Injury PT/OT

Our physical and occupational therapists are dedicated to helping you and your family with the challenges of recovery following a spinal cord or brain injury. Our highly trained therapy staff includes multiple board-certified neurologic clinical specialists and certified brain injury specialists who are well versed in helping patients overcome the complex challenges these diagnoses present.  You will work collaboratively with your therapists to help design an individualized rehab program to address your unique situation and help you reach your goals. Our multidisciplinary team will design a treatment program tailored to you - functional mobility, ambulation, balance, strengthening, stretching, fine motor tasks, ADL training, vision and cognitive training as well as recommendations for devices, braces, power mobility and other adaptive equipment.

Outpatient PT/OT Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Demographics

From July of 2020 to May of 2023, a total of 718 patients received outpatient adult PT/OT services at our Clinton Crossings Building D facility for brain injuries. These clients ranged from 19 to 97 years old, with an average age range of 59-62 years old.  15 patients with pediatric brain injuries were seen at our Clinton Crossings Building H facility with ages ranging from 1 to 18.

During this same time frame, we serviced a total of 228 adults with spinal cord injuries. Adults with spinal cord injuries ranged from 19 to 95 years old, with an average age range of 51-53 years old. 95 patients with pediatric spinal cord injuries were also seen, with ages ranging from 1 to 18.

Geographically we provided PT/OT services to a broad range of patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, spanning 49 different zip codes across western and central NY.
