Creating a Culture of Wellness

A Culture of Wellness implies a proactive focus on well-being rather than a reactive effort to manage burnout. A Culture of Wellness is cultivated by leadership, practice efficiency, and personal resilience.

Wellness Practices

The Department of Psychiatry encourages its faculty and staff to try the wellness practices below.

Avoid emailing your colleagues regarding routine matters on Sunday. If not urgent, try saving a draft email to send on Monday.

Hold 50-minute meetings, ending at 10 to the hour. We hope that this small investment in time will have a substantive impact.
