Interested in conducting research within our inpatient services?

Looking for more information and support on how best to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice for our patients receiving acute psychiatric and medical care?

The mission of the Inpatient Research Committee is to provide consultation for clinical investigators interested in conducting research within our Inpatient Psychiatry and/or our Inpatient Medicine in Psychiatry (IMIP) units. The Inpatient Research Committee is comprised of representatives from the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Medicine who are imbedded within our inpatient services and also share a passion for clinical research. Consultation services include feedback about project proposals, consultation around the logistics related to launching research projects within our unique inpatient settings, and assistance collaborating with our clinical teams.

Targeted inpatient units include the:

  • Inpatient Medicine in Psychiatry (IMIP) Unit (19200)
  • Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit (49000)
  • Adult Inpatient Units (29200; 39000)
  • Geriatric Psychiatry Unit (39200)
