Share the Warmth – Men's Winter Coat Drive

The Winter Ahead and a Community in Need

As the weather gets colder and snow begins falling, there are many patients who get discharged without warm winter attire. Friends of Strong, Advantage Federal Credit Union, and Strong Memorial Hospital’s ED are collecting clean, gently used—or new—MEN’S winter coats to benefit these patients in need.

Donation collection boxes are located:

For the Public: At the URMC Fitness Center in College Town

For URMC Staff:

• In the Hospital’s Main Lobby
• On the ground floor between University ID and post offices (inside the 256 Crittenden Blvd. loop)
• At Patient Discharge

A Generous Community

Each winter the ED begins the season with many coats donated by the ED staff themselves. Unfortunately, the needs often and quickly outpace this initial supply. That’s one reason why Friends of Strong, Advantage Federal Credit Union and the Emergency Department are all helping to support the Winter Coat Drive by various hosting donation bins at the locations listed above.
