Gift Enhances Advanced Life Support Training for Our Nursing Professional Development Center
The Center for Nursing Professional Development's American Heart Association Training Center was recently the grateful recipient of a QCRP AED w/Airway, ShockLink and SimPad simulator equipment from the Friends of Strong. Additionally received were child sized manikins, which are also SimPad capable.
This simulator package significantly improves our ability to evaluate the quality of CPR performed in our Mock Code program sessions and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses, thus giving our instructors the opportunity to connect live defibrillators to training manikins and create more realistic emergency response training scenarios for our nurses.
As an operating device used to control manikins and simulators, this specifically allows instructors to deliver highly effective simulated patient experiences—high-level training that's immensely important for providing world-class patient care.
As an AHA Training Center, our ability to provide the best level of training possible for our nurses is of utmost importance, thus providing them with the knowledge base and practice skills to establish the level of confidence necessary to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.
