Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training
UCAR adopted the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) online program for basic, species-specific, and surgery training. On January 1, 2010, all investigators and staff will be required to complete the CITI courses (www.citiprogram.org).
If you are not working with human subjects, skip to the Lab Animal Welfare Courses.
The CITI training courses available include:
- Investigators, Staff, and Students (Working with an IACUC)
- Aseptic Surgery
- Reducing Pain and Distress in Laboratory Mice and Rats
- Species-Specific Training for the following animal models:
- Cats, Dogs, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs, Hamster, Genetically Modified Mice, Mice, Non-Human Primates, Rabbits, Rats, Swine and Zebrafish.
The CITI courses can be completed prior to attending Animal Resource Orientation. Animal Orientation, non-human primate safety, rodent colony management, MicroIsolator Technology Training, rodent euthanasia, and facility tours are still required.
*Personnel who work with non-human primates must complete the CITI and Working Safely with NonHuman Primates 2020 in MyPath.
