STI Clinic

The division operates the Monroe County Department of Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinic under a service agreement. This agreement has been in place since approximately 1980.  The clinic is staffed by ID nurses and nurse practitioners under the direction of Drs. Daniela DiMarco and Margie Urban. There are approximately 9000 patient visits per year. Drs. Urban and DiMarco also lead the New York State Department of Health Sexual Health Center of Excellence and the Sexual Health Clinic is a designated training site for this Center of Excellence. Direction of the clinic by our division provides a unique training resource as well as an opportunity for translational research and education.
