Competition Category
The Basil G. Bibby Award will be given for outstanding scientific merit among oral and poster presentations by non-degree candidates (i.e., technical staff, international dental students, residents and those not currently enrolled in an M.S./Ph.D. program).
The Michael G. Buonocore Award will be given for outstanding scientific merit among oral and poster presentations by degree candidates (i.e., currently enrolled in M.S or Ph.D. programs).
The Bowen Award will be given for outstanding scientific merit among oral and poster presentations by candidates in postdoctoral programs.
Bibby, Buonocore, and Bowen Award winners will be selected by a panel of judges on the basis of outstanding scientific merit through:
- Relevance and originality of hypothesis
- Clarity of presentation
- Use of innovative experimental design, methods, or data presentation, and/or
- Findings or results that contribute significantly to the field of interest.
Previous award winners are not eligible to compete within the same category.
Non-competition Category
Abstracts may be submitted for a non-competitive oral or poster presentation of a basic science or clinical research project.
All faculty, staff, postdoctoral and graduate trainees with interests in oral, dental and craniofacial research are invited to participate. All abstracts are to be submitted in accordance with AADR/IADR format.
