Before Your Appointment

Respect and Privacy
At our clinic, every family is valued and respected in their individuality.

  • We are Safe Space trained which means that every staff member has committed to providing evidence-based and respectful care to our LGBTQI+ patients.
  • Breastfeeding can feel private, and is sometimes uncomfortable to do in front of others. We welcome you to bring a support person. We also offer chaperones for breast exams and breastfeeding as well on request.
  • All body types are welcome. Patients with larger bodies can feel uncomfortable in healthcare environments because of bias, small chairs and over-emphasis on weight loss. We offer comfortable seating, trained and welcoming staff and do not routinely weigh postpartum patients.

What to Bring

  • Come with baby if you are latching!
  • Bring your pump and pump supplies, especially if you have any problems with milk expression or milk supply
  • Bring baby’s food, if they take pumped milk or formula
