Pediatric Cancers

Because cancer affects children differently, Wilmot Cancer Institute works in conjunction with the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division at Golisano Children's Hospital, which cares for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, blood disorders, bone marrow failure, and congenital immune deficiencies.

The team provides expertise in many conditions, as well as a full range of clinical and support services to address both the physical and emotional needs of children and their families. In addition, their research program offers patients the opportunity to participate in ongoing clinical trials and receive cutting-edge diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Adolescent and Young Adult Survivorship

Wilmot Cancer Institute and Golisano Children’s Hospital offer an Adolescent and Young Adult Survivorship Specialist to support those aged 13 to 29 who are diagnosed with cancer. To learn more, contact AYA Survivorship Specialist Bethany Marsh.

Young Adult Survivor Connection Support Group

This group is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 39 with a diagnosis of cancer and their caregivers. It meets on the second Thursday of the month from 5-6:15 p.m. in the Luellen Patient & Family Resource Center (Room 1.0701) at Wilmot Cancer Center. For planned outings, times many vary.
