Our Division of Adolescent Medicine provides evaluation and ongoing care for adolescents and young adults.
- Adjustment to chronic illness (asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, etc.)
- Eating disorders and irregular eating patterns (anorexia, bulimia, obesity, etc.)
- Reproductive healthcare issues - contraception including nexplanons and IUDs, emergency contraception, menstrual disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pregnancy testing with options counseling, sexually transmitted infections, and vaginitis. (Adolescent & Young Adult Reproductive Healthcare)
- Gender identity evaluations and treatment such as puberty blockade and cross-gender hormones. (Gender Health Services)
- Transitioning medical care to adult providers
- Weight management
We also provide one-time evaluation/consultation and recommendations for teens and young adults with:
- Anxiety and depression
- Chronic or recurrent symptoms such as abdominal pain, headache, and fatigue
- Situational adjustment disorders
