Chief of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology

The Division of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology is devoted to the comprehensive evaluation and management of children with various allergic and immunologic conditions. We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including consultation, diagnostic testing, and treatment for many allergic and immunologic conditions.

Disorders routinely seen include hay fever (allergic rhinitis), hives (urticaria), anaphylaxis, contact dermatitis and eczema (atopic dermatitis), recurring infections, and drug allergy. Divisions is the home for the Center for Food Allergy and offers specialized services exist for food allergy, including food-protein-induced enterocolitis (FPIES) and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), including nutritional and psychological counseling, early introduction of highly allergenic foods and oral food challenges. Our multi-disciplinary clinics include Food Allergy Clinic, Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic, Severe Asthma Clinic, “Urgent Infant” Allergy Clinic and Primary Immunodeficiency Clinic.

The Division is committed to teaching medical students and residents, including offering a strong ACGME accredited Allergy/Immunology Fellowship.

Research activities include basic, translational, and clinical research such as clinical trials and observational studies focusing on prevention and management of food allergy.
