Project Believe
Children's Visions and Voices was a collaboration between the University of Rochester, former Surgeon General David Satcher, M.D., and Enrico Fermi School #17. It is a heart-tugging collection of photos and essays produced by 6th graders who were asked to depict health in the neighborhood. The children explain to us why "dangerous dogs," "highway onramps," and other such things are the important determinants of health and disease. - How Rochester’s Growing City and Suburbs Excluded Black Residents – By Justin Murphy of the Democrat and Chronicle
