Overview
Jeiri (“Jaydee”) Flores is a disability rights advocate who shares her unique perspectives as a person with a disability to Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities training, community service, research and policy efforts. She provides insights regarding inclusion, citizenship, disability intersectionality, and challenges that remain unaddressed by society.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop advocacy and leadership training for people with disabilities
- Provide general and customized consultation, resources and support to people with disabilities, disability professionals and community members
- Co-Director of the Diversity and Inclusion forum for the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
- Co-chair of the Council on Leadership in Advocacy (COLA) for the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD)
Education
- Present, University of Rochester, Masters student in Human Development at the Warner School of Education
- 2014, State University of New York’s College at Brockport, Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Minor in African American Studies
