Pediatric Bone Health Program
Part of Strong Memorial Hospital
The Pediatric Bone Health program assesses a wide variety of bone health conditions. We offer pediatric bone density testing (DXA), x-rays and other appropriate imaging. We offer inpatient and outpatient treatment with bisphosphonates. We coordinate with other pediatric specialties such as genetics, orthopedics and nutrition services.
Inpatient Services
We evaluate and manage any acute or chronic metabolic bone issues that are admitted to Golisano Children's Hospital.
Transition to Adult Bone Health Program
When the time comes for patients to transition to adult care, we work closely with our colleagues in the URMC Center for Bone Health and Adult Endocrinology to make this process as easy as possible.
