Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic

More than 350 children visit the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic annually. These include:

• Children seen in follow-up after hospitalization
• Children with newly acquired outpatient infections
• Children with recurrent infections and suspected immunodeficiency

Our specialists provide outpatient consultation for children in all pediatric general and subspecialty clinics, and are actively sought for consultations from practitioners throughout the Finger Lakes region. Pediatric specialists in our division serve as the New York State Regional Referral Designees for HIV and Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Syndrome testing in the NYS Newborn Screening Program.
