URMC’s pediatric epilepsy program at Golisano Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive epilepsy evaluation and a wide range of treatment options including medications, dietary and surgical therapies. Our goal is to maximize your child’s quality of life and minimize the impact of seizures on your child’s and family’s lives.

Team Approach

We work with a comprehensive team of experienced epilepsy specialists to care for your child with complex epilepsy. Our group includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, APPs, nurses, dietitians and patient coordinators, all trained and dedicated to treating children with epilepsy.

Treatments

Our group offers a variety of treatments ranging from medication, ketogenic diet therapy, neurostimulation, laser ablation, and epilepsy surgery for the treatment of epilepsy and medically refractory epilepsy.

Clinical Trials

Your child may be eligible to participate in clinical trials for anti-epileptic drugs, medical devices, and dietary therapy.
