Pediatric Hospital Medicine Educational Activities
Faculty within Pediatric Hospital Medicine are dedicated to advancing the educational mission of our training programs at the University of Rochester Golisano Children’s Hospital by fostering a learning environment which is equitable, inclusive, and supportive of all. Faculty work closely with medical student, resident and fellow trainees, and advanced practice providers (APPs) providing informal education during inpatient clinical rotations (e.g., during bedside family-centered rounds) and formal education in a variety of settings such as resident conference (i.e. morning report and noon conference), medical student and resident simulations, medical student courses and resident and fellow curricular development.
Medical Students
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry consistently ranks among the best in the nation, making it well-positioned to offer candidates high quality medical training. Pediatric Hospitalists guide teams of medical students, sub-interns, residents, fellows, and APPs through evidence-based clinical reasoning, family-centered rounds, and high-value patient care. Many of our faculty participate in medical student programs (e.g., Master Clinician Rounds) and hold formal administrative roles like Third Year Pediatric Clerkship Director (Dr. Margarita Corredor), and Director of the Academic Research Track (Dr. Candace Gildner)
