Strong Ties
The Strong Ties Community Support Clinic is a team-based outpatient mental health clinic that serves adults who are coping with issues related to severe and persistent mental illness. The clinic offers individual and group therapy, medication management, and has an onsite pharmacy and laboratory services. It also has the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team and Project ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team - the New York State-licensed ACT teams utilize a multidisciplinary treatment approach to provide intensive outreach mental health services to individuals with serious mental disorders who do not readily access traditional clinic services in our community. The teams provide in-home services, 24/7 availability, and daily clinical services to clients within the Monroe County region who are deemed most impaired due to their mental disorders.
Rochester Psychiatric Center
RPC serves Monroe and surrounding counties by offering inpatient, residential and community supports to adults, also residential and community support programs to adolescents and inpatient programs to forensic patients. The Steve Schwarzkopf Community Mental Health Center provides evidence-based treatment to underserved individuals challenged with serious and persistent mental illness. Services include individual and group therapy, family work, educational and skill building opportunities, and wellness work. The main goal is to reach out to individuals in the community and to create more linkages for those in recovery to provide support. The RPC facility also houses the Rochester Regional Forensic Unit, which provides inpatient psychiatric treatment to up to 55 mentally ill individuals who are currently involved or were involved with the Criminal Justice System.
Golisano Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness
This two-story, 36,000 square foot facility opened in 2020 brings outpatient and partial hospitalization services under one roof, and is constructed to add more intensive outpatient services that will meet the increasing demand for child behavioral health services in the Finger Lakes region by allowing children to receive a higher level of care than traditional services, while still attending regular school and living at home. The new center helps patients with depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other behavioral and emotional conditions, and houses the only partial hospitalization program of its kind in NY State west of the Hudson River. The building provides a comfortable, caring environment for kids, a library, as well as art and music therapy programs that will allow patients to relax and unwind. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, nurses, child psychiatrist, social workers, and mental health counselors.
