Radiation Oncology Residency Program
Welcome from Our Program Director
Mike Milano, MD, PhD
Welcome to the University of Rochester Radiation Oncology Residency Program web site!
Our program was established over 40 years ago—in 1971, by Dr. Philip Rubin, who was the first departmental chair, the founding editor of Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys, and a leader in late complications after radiotherapy.
The University of Rochester's Department of Radiation Oncology prides itself on promoting an enthusiastic, friendly atmosphere, where residents are considered invaluable members of the team.
The city of Rochester is known for its vibrant arts, four season outdoor activities, affordable housing, and light traffic!
We currently have 6 residents in our training program, and accept one to two PGY-2 residents each year. Students have the option of applying for a preliminary internal medicine position at the University of Rochester.
Please read on to learn additional highlights of our program.
Also, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
