URMC / Emergency Medicine / Education and Training / Fellowship / Medical Education Fellowship / About the Program About the Program Clinical Shift requirement – 564 hours/year, location to be determined by chair and fellow (47 weeks) Clinical teaching – 8 hours/week, bedside medical student and resident teaching, direct observation (47 weeks) Vacation (4 weeks) CME (1 week) Education Masters in health professions education required at the Warner School of Education Tuition benefits from University to cover 95%, rest covered by department Annual attendance to CORD or other academic conference (SAEM, etc) ​Biweekly fellowship education conference with education faculty Administration Practical experience with program evaluation, individual feedback and evaluation, curriculum development and review Attendance at monthly program evaluation committee for residency, monthly faculty meeting, grading committee for clerkship, clinical competency committee (C3) meetings, annual curriculum review meeting for clerkship and residency Teaching responsibilities/opportunities Didactic teaching experiences in different modalities and different level of learners Lecture based, small group based, lab based, simulation Clinical teaching within required emergency medicine clerkship Course development and creation Active role in successful interning course (4th medical student course)
