Julie R. Pasternack, M.D.

Dr. Julie Pasternack grew up in Rochester and went to Brown University as an undergraduate.  She developed a passion for teaching and learning during this time, while working in several afterschool and summer school programs.  She then taught high school math prior to attending medical school at the University of Rochester.  She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at URMC. 

During fellowship, she completed a Masters in Health Professions Education at the Warner School of Education.  Since then, she has enjoyed working in medical student and residency education leadership.  She served as assistant program director for the EM residency, and is currently the EM clerkship director, and Successful Interning course director for the medical school.

Fellowship projects: qualitative study on the implementation of using an LP task trainer simulator to teach interns across sites

Educational interests: curriculum development and innovation, K-12 programs to expose students to medical careers

Lindsey Picard, M.D.

Dr. Picard is a Rochester native who attended University at Buffalo for medical school and then returned home to Rochester for both of her residency and fellowship training. She completed her Masters in Health Professions Education at the Warner School of Education during her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. She is now a core faculty member for the residency program and plays a big role in their remediation process for residents.
