Crews will be on site this Saturday 4/30 using fire proofing spray and installing framing inside the wrapped building as well as installing exterior framing and sheathing on the north and east elevations from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the week, the tower crane and buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be conducting operations on the outside of the tower. Crews will also be fire proofing on the 4th and 8th floors. Interior and exterior framing will be going in on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors and drywall top fill will be installed on the 5th and 6th floors. Roof demolition and curb preparation will be taking part on the roof of the 2nd floor in the southwest corner of the Observation Unit.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.

Crews will be on site this Saturday 4/23 using the tower crane to replace a section of the buck hoist (exterior elevator). They will also be spraying the fire proofing and installing framing inside the structure. Work is expected to go from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the week, the tower crane and buck hoist will continue to be used for construction. Fireproofing and framing will continue on the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Crews will also be installing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing lines on all the floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the north side and will be working its way around the building.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.

Crews will be on site Saturday 4/16 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fire proofing the inside of the shrink wrapped building. They will also be building framing and layout as well as installing some structural steel.

During the week, the tower crane will be in use for various activities on site. Crews will also be using the buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) and fireproofing the inside of the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Crews will also be putting together the interior and exterior framing for the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the north side, with the east elevation operational. Roof demo and roof curb prep continues for the new boiler room directly above the 2nd floor south west corner of the observation unit.

The 4th floor concrete deck pour is tentatively scheduled for Thursday  April 21st  starting at 7 a.m. Concrete finishing has the potential to run late into the night but will not go past the City noise ordinance of 10 p.m.

Please keep in mind the concrete pour tentatively scheduled for next week will have the concrete pump on the south side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump (engines running), and 1 concrete truck washing out (engine running). Crews will be in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.

A flag person will be stationed at the South Avenue entrance to help back in the concrete trucks and help with traffic flow.

Crews will be on site Saturday 4/9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fire proofing structural members and putting together the framing and layout inside the shrink wrapped building.

During the week, the tower crane and the buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be assisting with various activities on site. The layout is being installed on the 7th and 8th floors while fire proofing continues on the 6th and 7th floors. Interior and exterior framing is also being installed on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors. Swing stage scaffolding will be installed on the north side, with the east elevation operational. Roof demo and roof curb preparation for the new boiler room will be occurring directly above the 2nd floor southwest corner of the Observation Unit.
