This Saturday, December 10, Mt. Vernon Ave. will be closed from Rockingham St. to the South end of Highland Hospital. This part of the road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A crane will be onsite to install a new Linear Accelerator for the Radiation Oncology Department. A Linear Accelerator is a machine that provides external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. The old one was taken out on Saturday, November 12. Local traffic will be allowed on the street during the closure but delays can be expected. Highland Hospital will work with any households that are directly impacted by the closure.
