No Work Saturday 1/22

There will be no construction work this weekend.

During the week, the tower crane will be in operation with the super structure steel as the steel workers will be detailing the decking the 8th floor. The fifth floor concrete slab installation is tentatively scheduled for Friday, January 28th starting at 7 a.m.  Concrete finishing has the potential to run late into the night, but the building wrap should keep this activity from any impact to neighbors and patients. Mechanical hangers are being installed on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors new decks for future installation of the mechanical piping. Crews are also preparing for concrete slab pours with shear studs, rebar, fire stopping sleeves, embedments, and rebar. The stair risers are being filled with concrete for easier access from floor to floor. Temporary building enclosure is being installed utilizing ZAP wrap on the 5th and 6th floors. The new tower 7th floor temporary roofing / vapor barrier will also be put in place this week (weather depending).

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.
