Choosing a Provider

Choosing a provider that is right for your specific needs is an important part of your pregnancy journey. The Family Maternity Center at Highland Hospital has a team of providers available to ensure you feel most comfortable throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

An Obstetrician has completed up to twelve years of medical training to become certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He or she provides routine check-ups and prenatal care, and assists in the delivery of the baby. Obstetricians see the delivery of a child as a clinical medical procedure that should be performed in a hospital. Should any complications arise, an Obstetrician can perform a Cesarean section or address any other issues immediately.
