Pediatric Radiology
UR Medicine Pediatric Imaging has evolved into the Imaging Department of UR Medicine's Golisano Children's Hospital with the opening of the East River Road building.
Our mission is to provide diagnostic imaging services for infants and children of the highest order.
We offer the entire spectrum of imaging: digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, CT, and (PET)MRI. Pediatric interventional radiology is performed by pediatric interventional faculty in the old facility.
All of our faculty and staff are specifically trained in the care of pediatric patients. Emphasis is placed on state-of-the-art imaging of children, gently, while minimizing radiation exposure. Full-time pediatric radiologists work closely with radiology residents assigned to the section. Faculty are engaged in various research projects as well as in teaching residents and medical students.
Our specialists work closely with other pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care for children. Subspecialty conferences in general pediatric radiology, neonatology, surgery, and oncology are conducted on a regular basis.
